I must be losin\' it I\'m puttin\' 44\'s on my TOW RIG

Yup, ordered a set of 20" wheels today, and I'm going to slap some 11.00-20's or 12.00-20's on the 715. 44" tall truck tires with a medium traction tread. Is there some kind of 12 step program for this? I can rationalize it really well. It's gonna help the freeway speed and the towing performance of my Cummins powered M-715. All in all though I have to question my sanity. I don't know what I'm gonna have to do with the CJ. I can't have bigger meats on the tow rig than I do on the rock rig now can I?

That would more commonly be refered to as "Sacrilage"

It has 4.56's in it. The main point of doing this is to get 60-65 out of 4th gear at 2300-2400 rpm. Right now I have to be in OD at those kind of speeds. That's fine on the flats, but it's hard on the tranny on hills. More importantly my EGT gets high and I have to back out and downshift to 1:1. I want to make 4th a useable gear while towing. That way I can make decent speed on the uphills.

4.56 is as far as I can go (5.87 stock) without swapping axles. The early Dana 70 has a different pinion offset and I can't get a high speed carrier for it.
