Willys Pickup help

If anyone knows of a Willys message board, please let me know!!
I am considering installing a 4.0 liter and all the goodies in a '54 Willys pick-up, but would like input from others who may have gone through something like this in the past.

It's a Jeep thing.....You have to have a WILLYS to understand!!!

Re: Willys Pickup help

i plan on doing the same thing to my 1962 willys station wagon. if you find anything out, let me know. also, i've found an abandoned willys street-rod project. it has a camaro front clip and rear axle. the cab and bed seem really good. no doors, front fenders, hood, firewall. do you think its worth $200? where would i find parts like doors, hood, and tailgate for my wagon? thanks! matt

Re: Willys Pickup help

The best willys message board is at:
WillysTech . You have to sign up to view messages and post. It is occupied by people who have both stock and repowered willys (I am one of the repowered ones). If you are hacking up an otherwise perfectly good truck then you will get some grief for it but if it has already been hacked then you will be ok. You may find that the 4.0 is too long for the engine compartment and you may want to consider a 4.3L Chevy V6 or SBC or Ford V8 (better cause the dist is in front). Parts and adaptors are easiest to come by for the chevy and ford engines.
