Woo hoo - closing on loan for garage tommorrow

Woohooo! Interest rates are great & we were able to get a great refinancing deal to build our new garage! We are having a 32W X 48L X 12H pole building built with a concrete floor & doors on each end. Part will be a shop area & part will be storage. Finally we will have all of our Jeeps out of the harsh PA weather! Will only take them about 2 weeks to have it up! We have a small 2 car garage now, but that is jammed with tools & stuff & the ceiling will be too low once my Jeep is finished.

I built a 24*48 pole barn with full upstairs and have a 24*24 garage and still I'm out of space. Looks like another addition in the spring......you never build them too big. Good luck on your project.

Pardon my ignorance, but what in Sam Hill is a pole barn/building? I've seen completed pictures, but haven't been able to determine what it is exactly.

Mel85CJ congradulation on the new garage
Mike86CJ7 when some one refers to a pole barn what it means is instead of being built like most buildings are wall anchored to the concrete slab, pole are put into the ground and the walls are attatched to the poles if there is a concrete slab it is independent of the rest of the building.

Take care of the pennies and the dollars will take care of themselves.

Re: Woo hoo - closing on loan for garage tommorrow

If you have a garage at all your lucky.

We have a double garage, and then a single.
It's too short for me to get my Jeep in at all, so its either remove the cage and put the winsheild down, or work in the open air.
The single bay is filled with a wood working table (we just did the interior of our house, every trimming was made in that bay.) the table, a shelf, and 10-15 machines such as drill presses, saw tables, grinders, and the router are in that bay. There's no room to move around.
In the double bay, there's an amphibous airplane -wings. my dad's building it right now. hes got that and a table, then in the other side, there's the wings on some stands, a kyak(just finished it,) and jammed right in the corner is my hardtop that I'm about to spray.
Somehow I have to build a pseudo spray booth so I don't toxify the whole house.
I wish I could setup a large tent in the yard or lot next door (big white 1/2 pipe looking ones.) so I could work in the dryness, but I live on a golf course (don't golf.) and I think there kind of pissed that I work on my Jeep at all.
