I got absolutely nothing done this weekend.
I went to the "local" U-Pull, (not so local 3hr drive away.) and they had Jack S&*t. No MotorCraft 2100, No Wingmirrors, no hard doors, and no York OBA.
It seems their supposed to be the "all Jeep" yard, but from what I can see it's 40% RiceFueld Rockets, and 50% Cherokees and 10% Wranglers.
The people there, (although its a "Jeep" yard) know absolutely nothing about Jeeps. I said "I'm looking for an A/C compressor from a '70-'80 AMC, any ideas where'd be?", " Um... What vehicle is it for?"
There worse then the guys at the parts places.
So after that extreme dissapointment, I went to the local surplus place looking for a pair of pants, a winter jacket, mittins, and JerryCans. Guess what they had? The pants were $150 (USED) WTF, I don't want to pay $150 for a used pair of pants. The jackets were pathetic, I think I'll stick to my 4 sweaters and a snowboard jacket. the Mittins were non-existant, and the 6 Jerrycans they had all had holes in them.
Anyone have a spare MC2100 lying around?
Oh well, thats my rant. Oh ya, I also learned not to take my Jeep into a drive through. Besides not having enough clearance and having to either back out or go over the curb (You get one guess as to my soloution.) the girl on the other end of the speaker couldn't hear a damn thing I was saying because the engine noise was bouncing off the wall and the car and making the whole area in general real noisy.
I think I'm done venting.
If someone wants to give my Jeep the best early christmas present in the world, she really wants a MC2100, York OBA, and hard doors.
