jeep leak

I have a leak in my 93 wrangler. The water comes in during rain storms it runs down by my air conditioner vents and runs down the pedal into my shoe while driving. By the end of the storm usually both my driver and passenger side floor boards are coverd in water... does anyone know what could be leaking?? thanks

4in currie lift, 4.56's, true trac, and 33's.. yeah it's a start!

Re: jeep leak

Consider yourself lucky.

I've got no windows, when it rains sideways everything gets wet.
Just put a "It's a Jeep thing..." sticker on it somewhere, and call it "Character"

then tell people that roofs are really overrated.

Re: jeep leak

Thereís supposed to be a short hose running from the air condition condenser compartment to the top of the transmission well. Itís way up front and hard to see. Apparently that hose is missing in your YJ. Replacing it should stop the leak. But you also have to prevent the water from entering that compartment in the first place.

He did mentioned "The water comes in during rain storms it runs down by my air conditioner vents and runs down the pedal into my shoe while driving". Not when he turn his AC on.

My jeep has the same problem too(only on heavy down pour), so does anyone have the solution(s) for this type of leak?

Re: jeep leak

My 93 has a leak that sounds very similar to yours. Mine is actually leaking at the windshield. It only happens during a hard rain but the water drains behind the dash and runs down by the pedals. Just something to watch for.

Re: jeep leak

Hehe...I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one with leak problems. I have a 93 too and during a hard rain I'm practically canoeing. One time after a storm I drove around town with 2" of standing water in the floorboard. It was kinda cool, but I need to fix it...my Jeep smells like a$$ from the mildew. Mine also leaks from aroung the windshield. Do you think replacing the weather strip would fix it?
