Carb anti-slosh foam?

When taking a corner at a slow speed or wheeling, I noticed the carb (I have a Pony) will surge, causing the Zuk to surge and buck. I picked up some fuel tank anti-slosh foam today and have seen it for sale for other carbs. So, anyone ever used any? Anything I should watch out for, other than it getting caught in the carb jets or down the intake?

If you cut it to size, pick at it very carefully so that you make sure there's not any loose foam hanging on still. Brushing it very gently with a wisk broom or horsehair brush helps.

Also make sure it is not in the way of the float. If it gets stuck under the float you will run the carb out of gas. If it gets stuck above the float, you will run your tank out of gas...right down the intake manifold.

Re: Carb anti-slosh foam?

So it just goes on the outside of the float? I'll give it a try. Anything else to watch out for?

I have some pretty large blocks of this stuff, anyone want any?
