Electric fans

Any suggestion for an electric fan. I'm using one now that we robbed off of a car (unknow make or model) at the salvage yard. I't cools fine and it fits in the alotted space BUT it is very noisey to the point of being obnoxious. It has to fit in front of the radiator in 3" of space. So, I'm looking for a thin fan that is quiet.
Thanks Miles

Pusher fans always make more noise than puller fans do. It's all in the blade design. If your's works I'd stay with it untill you can see one in person that will do just as good and is not as noisey. I take it you don't have enough room to mount one behind the radiator. They are much quieter and pull much more air.

Re: Electric fans

either a dual fan from a z28 camero or a SPAL dual 11" fan. i run the SPAL and it works great. i also picked up a dual setup from a 94 z28 from the yard where i got my 99 dually (for the motor and tranny). he threw the fans in on the deal. anyway i know for a fact both of these can be used and they work.

May I suggest that you use the fan off of the A/C unit? These fans are used less, so they have less time on them... and the they'd be less noisy.

Wall-Mart

18" fan $15.99
Thats less then $1 for every 1" What a deal.

Remove the shroud and prop it in there.
