wheelin\' in Maryland?

I am moving to Gaithersburg Maryland (about 20 miles north of D.C.) from the Moab state of Utah and am wondering if there is any good wheeling in that area. Is there anything worth taking my jeep for? Any help that anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.

GW National Forest in Viriginia isn't too far away from what I understand. I'm from PA though.

Paragon Adventure Park, PA is north of you. maybe 4 hours? take I-83 north to I-81 north and get off around exit 42 or 43(i can never remember until i see it) the town in wilkes-barre or hazelton on the map i think. all the info can be found here, a link to there site http://www.paragonap.com/paragon_intro.htm

Re: wheelin\' in Maryland?

When do you move to MD? I live in Frederick, 20 miles north of Gaithersburg. If you don't already have a place to live, you might want to check Frederick, it's ALOT cheaper than Montgomery Co., even the gas is cheaper. Plus, M.C. it eco-terrorist/liberal country. The county council effectively banned gun shows from the county this past spring. If you decide to go to the prev. mentioned place in PA, you would be better off going straight up I-270 which becomes 15 in Frederick until you hit 81 in Harrisburg, PA. I-83 is way out of the way from Gaithersburg. If you have an MD or D.C. suburb ?'s, feel free to email me, [email protected].

Good Luck,
Steve

If you like to go surf fishing, Assateague Island National Seashore is near Ocean City, Md. on the Delmarva pennisula. You can take your Jeep on the beach. I think the license for one year is $45.00.

Re: wheelin\' in Maryland?

Unless you own the property that you wheel on here, it is mostly illegal. I've been looking for a while but nothing. You'll have to go to PA. to wheel. Lemme know when you're in town(I live in Baltimore), and we'll get together for some wheelin'.

Re: wheelin\' in Maryland?

thanks for the info guys. Doesnt seem so important after the events of the last couple of days. I am going to save the web pages and info given to me and check them out when I get there. I have lived there before but was not into wheeling when I was there, so dont know of anything. Dont mind driving a little, had to drive 4 hours to get to Moab, just was looking for some good, legal, wheeling. Thanks.
