Broke oem locking hub - replacement?
Just realized that the oem lockng hub on my 84 cj7 with dana 30 front end is cracked right at a bolt hole. Anyone have a suggestion for what to replace it with? Are some locking hubs better than others?

Re: Broke oem locking hub - replacement?
Warn makes replacement hubs for the "5 bolt" ones that are on your CJ.They are probably a bit better than the stock ones. Otherwise you can convert to the early "6 bolt" Warn Premium hubs, but this requires the actual "Hub" and lockouts from a '81 (I think) or earlier CJ, or you can spend some cash and buy the conversion new from Warn for about $275. Check out 4 Wheel Drive Hardware http://www.4wd.com. if you don't already have one of their catalogs, go to the web page and request one...it's free!
