key assy removal
 
anyone know the trick for getting the key assy out of the stearing column its a 81 CJ5

There is a retaining tab that has to be pushed in, but the tab is on the inside. You have to take the steering wheel off and the signal light switch out. Then turn the cylinder until tab lines up with the slot inside the column and then push it down with a small screw driver. You need the key to turn the cylinder or else you have to pick the lock.
