Southern Calif. 4x4 salvage yards

Hi,
I am new to this board and I am hoping that someone can tell me where a good 4x4 salvage yard is in the southern Calif. area. Preferably Orange County.
I am trying to reviv an old 73 cj5 with the 304ci engine. It has a bent front part in the fromt axel(maybe spindle.) I am hoping to salvage another Dana 30 axel to use.

Oh, and I am going to try and get disc brales on the Dana 30. Either by a kit or by getting an axel with them installed already.

The Jeep has been down for a long time, but she sounds like she is ready to reclaim some of her lost glory.

Any help at all will be most appreciated!,
Thank You

Try Scotty's in Fontana, or talk to Jason at Tri-County Gear in Pomona - both should have some -5 parts laying around.

Hey, also try any local 4x4 shop that does Jeep axle swaps. Someone will be thrilled to get $50 for their 2.73 narrow track stock dana 30. You're probably better off buying the complete dana 30 using everything from the knuckle out (that way you get the discs, calipers, new spindles, etc) and keep the shafts/tie rod/drag link all for trail spares.

In San Diego, there are two shops that would constantly run into dana 30s

MIT - el cajon
Jeff Shekell - el cajon

Orange County has to have their share as well. Jeeps R Us is in Laguna Beach.

There is a picture of the Scotty's yard on one of the recent mags, I think it was the sept. or oct. 4wdandSUV. It looked pretty cool. I would check them out.

Re: Thanks for the help guys!

there were several jeep joints in huntington beach.. cant think of names.. been a few years since i was out there.. also.. try this.. amc salvage in long beach... they have everything... or at least used to.. (310)830-6880
and try this.. jeep thrillz (310)608-3250.. you could also try jeeps-r-us in laguna beach.. those guys are really nice.. used to do some work for them.. for parts... they are located on that road coming in to the L.B. from el toro.. that one thru the hills.. been way too long for me...
