I have a NP231 that I have short shafted and added a new chain to. I know that it calls for ATF in the t-case but I am wondering if I can run regular gear oil in it. Has anyone done this or can anyone give me a reason why I shouldnt do this. Seems to me it would lube better and not leak as easily but then again I have been wrong before. Thanks for your help.
I do the same thing every weekend, its just the location where I do it that changes!
