What is required to use 77 Cherokee Full Width D 44 axels SOA on an M 38. Any advice appreciated.

Re: M38 + full size

You would have to weld on new perches, and then try to find out how you are going to put on a rear drive shaft. That jeep with a spring over will leave you with a high driveshaft angle. I hope that M38 is a beater, because those are pretty valuable for the collector crowd. It would be a shame to modify to the extreme, but hey it is not my jeep.

If you go this route, I would suggest you get a rear axle from a quadratrac cherokee so the dana 18 output will line up with the pinion.
