A family reunion is taking me to Sacramento,Ca next week, in fact Thursday i'm flying out of Green Bay. Since i'm only going to be 120 or so miles from the "Con" it's only right that I check it out. I found one place so far on the internet that I can at least rent a quad, Tahoe Adventures, it's a guided tour, 6 hours, your own quad, or you can ride in a Jeep/Hummer ... your choice, but you can't drive it.. i'd rather drive my own Quad, than be a passenger.. yeah... a little selfish.. does anyone living in that area know of a place I can rent a quad/4 wheeler without having to take a guided tour. I've been wheeling for a long time and would like to "play" and be able to use this thing, stop and visit wheelers we may come across on the trail... use like it was my own, bring it back at the end of the day type thing instead of being on a guided tour. I thought about renting a Wrangler from National,Avis, Or similiar.. but.. I don't like wheeling alone... i'm sure the Wrangler rental isn't winch equipped... accidental body damage... hmmm.. at least with the quads, I can rent a second for my wife. Any suggestions/ideas are appreciated! Thanks for the help! Rick

You might also check with the POR guys (Pirate Off Road), since a lot of them live there, they might know.

'88.5 Zuki, 7" Lift, Locked, Swamped, Rolled, and just generally broken in right!

You could just find somone with a rig and cut a deal with them. (Pay the gas or somthing.)
I can't see anyone letting you take their jeep without them, so you might have to ride shotgun some of the time.
