2100 fun

I got the 10 inch air filter from edelbrock, a 2100 off a 72 or so wagoneer, rebuilt kit, and the adaptor from the website everyone suggested.

Whats the usual cause for the carb to bog way down, while making a air gushing sound if you give it gas? It sounds like that little air valve on the top that opens up.

Still getting all the little quirks out of the jeep.(heater stoped working again damnit)

Still waiting for good 31's at the yard...

Re: 2100 fun

Could be a couple of things. Did you check for vacuum leaks. COver the throat of the carb with a rag and see if the motor dies or sppeds up. Die=good Speed up=leak. Also check your pump shot linkage. Maybe to much of a shot and bogging you down, move it up or down a hole and see if that helps. Did you replace the power valve? Depending on the motor you have 6 or 8 the powervalve should be replaced to prevent it from opening too soon. Lastly, did you adjust your timing. Are you using the ported or manifold vacuum source. I am using ported (no vac present at idle).
