Bestop fender flares

I just installed a set of Bestop fender flares on my CJ at the strong recommendation of a local cop. The flares are a new product for Bestop and are supposed to give 6" cover. They look great and quality is top notch but the fronts cover 4.5" and rears are 5" which is bad cause my front axle is wider than the rear. It doesn't quite cover my tires but hopefully it will be close enough. Just thought I would post this in case anyone was considering them.

It will never be finished unless it burns up in the woods.

Re: Bestop fender flares

Are the Bestop flares wider than the originals? How did the install go?

Re: Bestop fender flares

Factory cj flares are 3" and the bestops are 4.5" in front and 5" in the back. Installation is easy, they include hardware but in my case with diamondplate sides the bolts were too short. The flares have morkings for where to drill for a yj or a cj.

It will never be finished unless it burns up in the woods.
