MSD ignition question

Just got the MSD Offroad 6 ignition and need a little help. There are 4 wires attached to the original coil, and I have the two on the negative side hooked up already(no problems there). My question is about the two positive ones. Do I splice them together and run them to the new ignition, or do I use just one of them?

Re: MSD ignition question

A coil should only have 1 positive and 1 negative. My guess, and I stress the word guess in this sentence, is that the 2 extra wires are extensions to provide current to another part of the harness. If thatís correct then the 2 positive wires must already be connected somehow. Make sure of that first.

I think, therefore I am ...... a Jeeper

I think what you have is the "resistance feed" which RUNS the Jeep on about 9 volts, and the "Direct Feed" which is a starting booster of direct 12V.
