Fuel filter placement question

If I relocated the fuel filter and it happened to be at an approx. 40-45 degree angle, would it keep the carb from getting gas? I also have the return line port rotated where it is above the supply line. Thanks everyone.

Re: Fuel filter placement question

Fuel filter angle should not affect the ability for fuel to pass through the filter.

On gasoline engines you should always be thinking of ways to prevent vapor lock in extreme under-hood heat conditions. Try to keep the fuel lines with a constant upgrade slope to the carb, and make the by-pass port HIGH so that any bubble will find IT and not go into the carb or sit in the line and expand from heat.

Re: Fuel filter placement question

Thinking of avoiding high temp conditions, I moved the filter to the fender. It is at about a 40* angle with the return above the feed line. So, therefore this should not cause any problems. Thanks a million guys.
