Thanks to the person that stole my stereo ...

... for not busting up the dash. I'll bet the plastic dash is worth more than the $50 I paid for the stereo. I actually thought no self respecting thief would bother with a cassette deck, so you might have some self esteem issues to deal with. Let me know if you would like to buy the faceplate that goes with that $50 cassette stereo, and if you give me your E-mail address, I'll let you know when I replace it with a better unit. Right now I've got the $20 cassette stereo in, so if you're really feeling worthless, help yourself.

Re: Thanks to the person that stole my stereo ...

Your luckier then my sister, and my parents.
Story #1: My sisters stereo has been stolen 5 times this year. It's only worth $200 CDN, and they always stole it when the faceplate was off. A replacement faceplate is $200 CDN. Therefore the CD (Burned ofcourse) that was in the stereo is worth more then the stereo. 1st, 2nd, 3rd time, broke the rear window (Cherokee).
4th time broke the doorlock and handle.
5th time my sister had learned her lesson and just left the whole damn thing unlocked, they stole the stock spare ($25 if your lucky.) the stereo, ripped up the dash, broke the ignition, and then when they found out the stereo was a cheap POS, they came back the next day and smashed the windsheild.

My parents, had the drivers side window of their '92 suburban broken, and the theif took three (3) copied cassette tapes. They weren't even originals.

This is stupid and off-topic, but I had a question about that Jeep Icon image you use in your signature. Just wondering what the Raised 2", Lowered 2" is about. Does this mean 2" lift in front and 2" drop lift in rear? Just curious.

Re: Thanks to the person that stole my stereo ...

Good idea for a mod: after doing an ignition upgrade, take the old stock coil and wire it up behind the dash. Glue a strip of rubber along the back of the radio, then on top of that run a bare wire that connects back to the coil. Probably work best in CJ's with the metal dash, but YJ/TJ's without carpet might work too.

[this a joke, I don't advocate actually doing this, etc. etc.]

That would be a "shocking" discovery for a theif.

oh ya, and raised 2" lowered 2", gives you stock height.
(I really own a vehicle with rectangular headlights, says "jeep" all over it, but people keep telling me its not.) I just really hate the idea of the ICON, and Oopma Loompa's scare me. I was just going for the most evil picture in the world, and I tihnk I'm pretty damn close.

Oompa Loompa's are not scary... You want to run into an Uru Buru Then you've got something to worry about!!

Infernox,

I can't help but thinking that your sister needs to move. That sounds like a bad part of town she's parking her car in. Yikes, Oompa Lumpas and crackheads make a scary, stereo stealin' combo.

I always wondered what really happened to that girl after they took her to the juicer.
