Pics from Uwharrie!!

Again, the Marine Crew went to the great Uwharrie National forest and dominated their trails. The wife got pics of all except me and my stocker. I'll beat her later. Anyways, here they are.

This is elusive's wife at a photo op.

This is her making it up!!!

This is the M715 that was with us. He ummm, ummm, ummm, didn't have it in "low" range while coming down a slightly slick clay hill.

Caption this picture!!!!

Of course, nothing would be complete without the jeepgod!!!

Re: Pics from Uwharrie!!

COOL! How do you get to this place from Charlotte. Are there trails that a single jeeper in a mostly stock YJ (no lockers, etc)can run.
Thanks

Re: Pics from Uwharrie!!

nope.. only married jeepers can make the trail.......
really.. you should never go alone.. seems like we are living out there lately, e-mail me or any of us whenever you want to go...
I am getting pretty sick of uwharrie... tellico will be a nice change.. i didnt even take my cj out there for this one.. wasnt worth the tow. my tour in have-not north carolina is about up...
a stock yj can run every trail in uwharrie as proved by the red one in the pics.. it was his very first time off-road.. it was also the first time off road for the M-715... he has since found low range, and we nicknamed hiom "high-range" for the rest of the weekend..i thought he was a goner.. that truck was moving pretty good when it hit that oak...no damage...

Re: Pics from Uwharrie!!

From Charlotte you are not far, about an hour. Just go east on 24 til you get to Troy then North on 109. Look for the Badin lake rec area, actually go to the Amoco station on 109, from Troy it'll be no more than 20 miles, there you can pick you up a map of the area.

You can wheel it alone in a stocker but not when it's extremely wet, the clay is just too slick. When it's dry, you'll have no problems, just go around the bigger rocks. Also, you should never go alone, even if the trails are easy.

Re: Pics from Uwharrie!!

Low range get's you there safer, but High range get's you there quicker. The Rhino finally made it home last night about 1030, and she's bedded down in my driveway. Still has most of her pieces. Anyone got any m715 tail lights?
