Well it\'s confirmed. I can\'t weld

Well like the subject said, I found out this weekend that I can't weld. I had welded new perches on my rear axle this past winter. I have done some pretty hardcore stuff since then (tellico, paragon) But wouldn't you know it, I went out into the mud holes of South Jersey this weekend, and I literally broke all the welds on both rear perches, and the whole rear spun up breaking the ujoint bolts on the driveshaft. Thank god It wasn't while I was driving down the road. Let this be a lesson to all. Make sure your welds are BURNED in good. This time i'm letting a pro make the welds. I guess I should go and get a better welder.

What type of welder did you use, 110 or 220?

Re: Well it\'s confirmed. I can\'t weld

I used a 110. It's really no big deal, it will only cost about $20 to fix. And it was very funny when it happened. the pinion was pointing straight up.

Dont feel bad, Riccochet, I don't know how to weld either. My son is taking welding in high school and he'll probably end up teaching me.

As a side note, I used to certify welders.
