how hard to lift body for frame repairs?

my frame is in need of a little tlc, so if i just losen all the body mounts, i should be able to lift the body up off the frame maybe 6 in or so to do some work, right? also, do i need to loosen all the body mounts?

To lift the body off the frame, remove all the body mount bolts. Other things to consider, brake lines, clutch linkage, wiring, steering column, radiator shroud. all these things may need to be loosened or removed depending on how much slack they currently have.

Hi

I just replaced my tub its not too bad but you will have to disconnect the break lines, clutch, throttle, spedo cable and the hardest will be the steering

If you are only fixing the rear end of the frame you wont need to lift the body at all. I did mine last spring without lifting the body.

yeah actually most of the work will be to the back end, so i'm hoping to get away with alot less work.
