Info on NP203

I've got a NP203 t-case out of a '76 dodge truck I'm gonna get rid of. I've read about "divorced" and "married" t-cases. What is the difference and how I can tell what mine is? (So when a buyer asks, I can sound like I know what I'm talking about )
Thanks

Re: Info on NP203

A divorced transfer case typically has a bad attitude and a couple of dependants that can be a real pain. Just kidding, a divorces transfer case is not bolted or "married" to the tranny. In a married case there is some type of adapter or connection that directly couples the tranny and t-case together. The divorced units are driven by a short driveshaft between the two cases.

Re: Info on NP203

Well I guess mine is married 'cause I just unbolted it from the tranny. Now I know what to call it when I advertise it!
Thanks for the info!
