Ox Locker, your thoughts?

I ripped out my spider gears a month or so ago so the rear end got welded for a quick fix, and ive been driving it daily for a while like that, and acutally its not to bad but the screching around every corner has to be hard on tires. my jeeps a daily driver, so I really cant put a lock rite it in because of when it snows i still need my jeep. Ive got enough $$$ saved up for one but i was wondiring if any one on this bbs had one and what there opnions on it were.

Re: Ox Locker, your thoughts?

lock right locker would be the way to go. i have one in my truck and it unlocks most of the time except when you throttle it bit harder than usual then it locks fully i had it in my truck for 4 yrs now and i would never change. ps i also live in wisconsin so winters are really crappy up here.

The only one I saw didn't work. I'm not going to spend my money on one.

Re: Ox Locker, your thoughts?

they are too new. i like to wait and see how the reliability is going to be on a product before i buy. me personally, i like the full detroit. put it in and forget about it. they are very tough and you rarly hear of one failing.

Re: Ox Locker, your thoughts?

hey,
I've got an Ox in the front of my wrangler and run 33's with 4.10's all year, plus I live in northern Ontario, so there is plenty of snow, if you do go for the 35 ox go for the super 35 ox same as a 44 but fits in what you got (still has clips though) I love my ox it's as good as a spool when locked and as good as an open when not, exactly what they say!!!!!

I also ran into a Cherokee with an Ox in the front that would NOT engage reliably...
