YJ tub on CJ frame

I finally have given up on chasing the rust monster and my search for a wrangler tub is in progress but I have one question on which body bushings to use? Does it matter?

if its clean, I aint having fun!

Re: YJ tub on CJ frame

I'm pretty sure you can use either CJ or YJ body bushings. When I did my tubswap, I believe I used CJ poly bushings and a YJ 1" body lift so that I could get the body bolts with the correct threads. In a couple of the areas the CJ and YJ use different size body mount bolts.

Hope that helped...

Re: YJ tub on CJ frame

You can use either, but if you go YJ you'll need to slightly enlarge the holes in the body mount brackets on the frame.
