Re: Hard top instructions

The YJ tops should have little vents behind the side glass. My bosses '95 does anyways. The measurements will be the same as they interchange, however the YJ's lift gate will have a clearance cutout on the bottom for the tailgate to open. A CJ top will have it's liftgate straight and flush with the bottom of the top. Hope this helps

Re: Hard top instructions

As far as I know, a CJ's rear corners are more square(round?) then a YJ's. Therefore, if you put the wrong one on the wrong tub, it won't be thatdrastic, but the rear corners won't line up exactly.

Re: Hard top instructions

I use a CJ hardtop on my YJ tub and the corners line up perfectly. The CJ & Yj tub have the same corners, and except for the tailgate and a few minor differences, they are essentially the same tub. The hard tops are exactly the same size and will interchange with the exception of the tailgate/liftgate issue.

Re: Hard top instructions

Oh, now that makes me wonder why the guy sold me my hardtop?

Re: Hard top instructions

Infernozx, what do you mean? Did someone tell you otherwise when selling you a top?
