The nice thing about not having to go too far ...

Jacque and I rarely go away during major summer holidays ... just to avoid the traffic and crowded camp grounds.
So despite wanting to head to Colorado we are here at home in Farmington.
BUT why go anywhere when the fun comes here!
All I had to do is troll around ChokeCherry Canyon a little to find a great group of folks who came down from Gunnison CO to do a little wheeling with.
They needed a guide and I wanted some company so we all hit it off great!
I got to wheel all morning till two o'clock, then came home to do some scanning work during the heat of the day.
Going back tomorrow ... such a deal!

Now Jaffer,
I know you're jealous of us IL jeepers...but you just cannot compete. Why just yesterday, I led a jeep over a concrete parking barrier in the K-Mart parking lot. Your tales of Farmington wheeling just don't hold a candle to this kind of true wheeling bravado. Sure, show pics of highly modified vehicles traversing large boulders. But don't forget, I've got hundreds of pics of bone stock and negatively modified jeeps driving down the road in traffic. So don't make me have to bust out with them. Quit bragging before I show you up.

Sniffle...sniffle...

Yeah, I might have a few sardonic traits ...
... but I just can't help it sometimes.
When I was growing up around here, every body was jealous of the big city Phoenix and California kids since we were stuck here way out in nowhere's ville. Me especially, since I spent most of my non-school time way out in the trading posts on the nearby Navajo Rez.
I admit I derive a great deal of pleasure and satisfaction when I see folks coming all the way to HERE to do cool stuff.
So enjoy the tales and pictures ... and forgive me please ...

Lucky you, You have wheeling right next to you, I have to go 3 hours before anything that's legal to wheel. I'm also an IL jeeper like you farm jeep, i also went over a median today but it was at menards. Does that count as extreme wheeling Jaffer?

Do fallen trees count, I was drivin down the road after a storm with a little Honda followin me when I happenend upon a fallen tree so I slowed a little and could see that there was no limbs bigger than 2" or 3" so I drove on through it, but the poor little Honda was hard on the brakes and had to turn around and take the long way home
