wheeling spots in South Carolina lowcountry??

due to the death of a fellow jeeper, the main wheeling spot around the charleston area in the lowcountry has been shut down and is patrolled by the police. this leaves me and my fellow wheelers with a problem...nowhere to wheel. does anybody live around our area? know of any good spots?

It's not a CAR, it's not a TRUCK...its a JEEP-get it right.

Hmm... I dont know if tis still there, but we uesed to goto the sand pit off of Cross County Rd and Dorchester. there were also several places out in summerville. I cant remember exactly where though. I was stationed there in the AF for 8 years, but I have been gone for 4.

well the sandpits is where we used to go but some guy flipped his TJ and killed himself, injured the 2 other passengers. so now the cops heavily patrol the area. where did you go in summerville?

Re: wheeling spots in South Carolina lowcountry??

triplec, i have the same dilema, the area off cross county looks like its worth exploring but now its posted and patroled. i was out wandering last weekend near laurel hill off snake road and saw some "trails" that headed back into the woods. 1 looked like it hadnt been used in years the other looked fairly fresh, it was just after a heavy rain and was super muddy, very rutted although there were no fresh tire tracks? only went in about 1/4 mile as it was getting dark and i was alone, i'll definately get back there to check it out sometime, could be a dud, but its at least worth a look as our low country options seem low. if you get any feedback on summerville trails, please drop me an email

thanks
happy jeepin
