Pics of my engine swap- 715 not CJ

I know some guys asked to see pics of this swap. Finally managed to get a couple.

Yup, that's a Cummins.

Thanks for sharing the pics. Is that the 3.9 Turbo? How about some details.. how much did it cost you (new or used), which tranny are you using, How did the install go? I've always felt that 4 cyl Cummins would be a great motor for an all around 4-wheeler.

Re: Pics of my engine swap- 715 not CJ

Actually it's the 6 cylinder 5.9L turbodiesel out of a '91 Dodge Ram. I am using the NV4500HD trans out of a '96 Dodge. The install wasn't too bad, had to learn/make up a lot of things as I went. I bought the engine, an auto trans, wiring harness, radiator, etc as a package for $3500. Then sold the auto for $700 and bought a manual for $1800. Them diesel 4500's are pricey. But, it was all worth it. The Cummins really makes the M-715 come to life. Besides, nothing this ugly should have a gas motor in it.

It's big, it's green, and it belches black smoke. What more could a guy ask for?
