OK T18 FROM 76 FORD , TRANSFER CASE 2WD TO 4WD ONLY, WHAT WILL ADAPT TO IT OR WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO HOOK D20 OR 300 TO IT OR WILL THEY WORK?????????

it wont work without Big $$$ adapters.

you need to start with a 2wd tranny if your going the Ford route, PM often has the dana20/dana 300 kits USED in the sub $400 range.

alot of Ford trucks came with divorce mounted Tcases, and some Tcases without Low range.

If you could find a desirable Ford transfercase, with the proper side front axle drop, bolted to a T18 Id guess it would work, if it wasnt too long.

but there is a reason this isnt the hot swap ticket.

length is the reason, the ford transfercase adapter is entirely too long for anything shorter than a CJ-8 or a CJ-6. find a T-18 out of a scout it will have the adapter and mainshaft you need. use the ford tranny case and input shaft (the scout input shaft is to long, and the case will not work with your bellhousing).
