My scrambler came with the 258 stock. Ever since I've owned it, it's had a 360. I screwed up the 360 yesterday, and picked up a 258 out of a '77 cj7 today. Anything I should be cautious of when swapping? The 258 needs a flywheel, bellhousing, clutch, starter, alternator, and probably something else I'm forgetting. How much of this stuff will work off the 360?
Motor mounts are in demand too, so you can sell those or swap with someone putting a 360 in the place where a 258 was. Shouldn't be hard to find someone interested in swapping the motor mounts and flywheel with you.
