Which disconnects? RE or JKS?

Which are better for a YJ? The rubicon express or JKS disconnects? Thanks.

Get the JKS QUICKER disconnects. They cost a little more, and they can be a bear to install, but when everybody else is using sledge hammers and such on their disco's you'll be happy you spent the money. Also of note, they are adjustable, so as you add/change lift, you don't have to buy new discos.

One last thing, the guys at JKS are serious A$$HOLES, unfortunately they have a couple of products that are the best on the market and they know it.

well my RE discos are pretty easy to get back on as long as you get on flat ground and i use a pry-bar against the rubber bump-stops. to get them off is always a snap. NO hammering is needed ever for mine!

yeah, i say make your own, cost me like 8 dollars, and i dont need a sledge hammer to get them on, the biggest problem i have is getting the sway bar back down, which is not caused by the disconnects. If you decide to go thise route, ask for the different ways people have made there own and choose the one you like best.

I have the JKS Quick disconnects on my CJ, and they work like a dream. Never have to use tools to connect or disconnect them. The Quicker ones look even better, but I don't have personal experience with them.

As far as the people at JKS, I have ordered all my stuff from their website. I get the parts FAST, they FedEX most of it. No problems as far as I'm concerned. You don't want to talk to them, just order online.

I just ordered a set of quicker disconnects for my TJ. Because I'm in Canada, I went to the local 4x4 shop. They originally told me a week, but then JKS told them that the discos are back ordered 2-3 weeks.

Once I get them, I'll let you know how they work.

i tell ya, i took mine off completly, no more bar and i have no problems at all, no hammers, no pry bar, no stooming un mud to hook them up again. and on road, i dont even notice. 81 scrambler, ford9s front and rear 7"s total lift.
im sure wranglers are different especially on the street. my wife's 91 YJ is all over the place even with the bar...

304/th400/ford 9"s front/back 7"lift 15x10/35's
it will run someday
