rear main oil seal

Hey guys, is the rear main oil seal on the 4.2 in an 89' yj a one piece or two piece? I'm assuming it's the original engine, but I'm not positive. I'm still trying to figure out what changes have been made to this Jeep. So far, except for the stiff springs, they've been all good. Man, I'm having fun playing with this. I haven't really posted much yet, but I'm learning a bunch from you guys. I really appreciate it!! Thanks, Ritch

Re: rear main oil seal

Does the 4.0 come with a one piece? I know my Haynes manual shows the 2-piece but my mechanic and his 2 cohorts think it's a 1-piece. Because of a problem with getting the correct oil pan gasket, The question of which engine I have has become an issue. I'm pretty sure it's the 4.2, but the aftermarket oil pan gasket didn't fit so it set me to wondering. Thanks for the info!!! Ritch (gosh wish I had a title)
