Need Tub

Does anyone have a line on a decent YJ tub. Texas or southwest preferred. My CJ is completely rotted away. I am considering 'glass or a replacement used steel tub.

Thanks

Re: Need Tub

Hey Rick,
I know that Southside Jeep Parts has them in Austin, but they are kinda like Collins Bros. $$$$. Also, there is a yard on I35 near Troy called Anderson Auto Parts?, they have a couple of YJs. I bought a roll bar from them for a fair price. You should check out www.copartfinder.com, this will get you lots of places to call and you can see the tubs online. I use Southside as only a last resort, they are expensive and they are not very pleasant to deal with.

Re: Need Tub

yeah, thats why I didn't recommend Southside , but I guess it is a option, just try and talk him down, I called him about some 360 exhaust manifolds and if I remember correctly he wanted well over 100 bucks, I found them on the web for less than half that. Just take your time and shop and the parts will come to you...

Re: Need Tub

Southside is the last place I go. I would rather spend 10hrs digging through 20 yards before I will go to Southside. They are absolutely my last resort. They run that place like they are doing you a favor by letting you buy one of their parts.

Re: Need Tub

Total BS.

ScrapYards charge way too much for their stuff.
Why the hell would I pay 75% of the price for somthing thats 85% through it's life.

Do you think insurance will cover the carb if it some how "teleports" behind the tires of a 350 with dualies?
