new vs.used

Yeah I understand where ya'll are coming from, used one your not as likey to cry the first time it's scratched. See I don't do any deep offroading. mud bogs, streams, and just plain old exploring is about all I get into. And I need something dependable for transportation back and forth to college. (yes I chose a Jeep for this) thanks for responding, will I be hurting my TJ if I do get the d 35's and run larger tires?

Re: new vs.used

buy a used tj, if you want, newer not new
ive heard they are the most capable ( stock ) vehicle jeep has ever produced
without a lift id say 32.5 or 33 is almost pushing it since it articulates so well

Actually 31's are it because it articulates so well.

They can be found for about $7K used now, and if you look around, you can even get the 6 cyl.
