4.0 swap in a CJ?

Has anybody ever put a 4.0 from a cherokee into a CJ? What kind of problems may I encouter? What are your thoughts on something like this good, bad or ugly?

My girlfriend said if I spent one more dime on my Jeep she would leave. Man I'm going to miss her!

Yes, tons have. There are many interchangable parts. You really need to do a search. Type 4.0 swap, select 'and', also make sure you selected the swb forum. You will find many nights' worth of reading. Probably the best improvement for the buck for a CJ. There are other options too. Search 4.0 and head. Or search MPI. You'll never be the same after reading all of the info that has been posted and all of the sites that cover the various swaps.

I have. And it was pretty easy. Just take your time with the wiring.

It is cheaper than adding fuel injection to your existing engine. And it will run better too.

Make sure that you get the wiring harness and the computer from your donor vehicle.
