78 Scout

I can get my hands on a 78 Scout w/Dana 44 front and rear both equipped with Lock Rites for about $600. Any recommendations?

Re: 78 Scout

yeah, buy it and bring it down to me next time you come so I can have the axles , I think that falls into the right years for the passenger side diffs and the good 44's, buy it if my sister will let you

Seriously though, the $600 doesn't sound like a bad deal, you might be able to make that back by parting out the rest of the Scout, depending on the shape its in.

Re: 78 Scout

Oh, by the way, thanks for the 2 jars of hot sauce I stole before Wendi, Mom and Dad left to head to Ky. I also scored a couple of bags of fresh frozen catfish, see what ya git when you don't come down personally to visit and to protect your interests.....

If the Scout is in good shape buy it and run it! if not buy and part it out!

Re: 78 Scout

Hey, if y'all are interested in a Scout axle, I've still got a front D-44 from a 79 that's willing to go to a new home, sooner-the-better. How's today sound

My Scout is like my website, I'm working on it. 79 IH ScoutII, Anything else is just a 4X4... 345, 1-ton axles, Detroits F/R. 99 F-350 SD, PowerStroke.
