Questions on lifting a tj
 

I recently got a 97 tj which is all stock and I've been reading around and doing some research on lifting it and putting some bigger tires on it. As I understand it you need at least a 4" lift to put 33's on.
I found a superlift superride 4" kit that looks and seems right. My first question is that am I going to be in for any suprises if I use this kit? or any kit for that matter. Am I going to need to do some other things to get it to run right with the lift and the bigger tires?
My second question is that does anyone have any suggestions on a 30-33" tire and rims?

With a 4" lift, you will need a Slip Yoke Eliminator for the transfer case and a CV driveshaft to keep things from vibrating.

With the proper wheels, you dont need 4" of lift, and DONT need a SYE.

This is a TJ i built. Its got 33" BFGs on a TeraFlex 3" lift. It flexes well, and the only time anything catches is when you turn full lock with the tire at full stuuf. IT then nicks the PLASTIC fender flare, which then flexes out of the way. It doesnt come close to touching the metal fender.
