UPDATE! 46 cj2a column shift to buy

is this a worth while project to start? what should i look for?any rare parts i should ask for? price range would be good for this model.any input would be helpful..thx all...paul
guess this is a cj2........not the 2a as he thought.....

This is a very rare bird, only the couple hundred of the 46 was column shift, In fact $10,000 for a poor condition model would not be out of line. Mine was a column shift before I converted to floor shift. I got tired of people telling me to keep it orignal. You can convert a floor shift to column easier than buying one. But remember all the moving parts in the column that will be worn out and hard to replace. Unless you want a musemn piece they really no go reason to have a colum shift model.

well..this one has been converted to floor shift..but the column parts are still there on the vehicle...other then the actual shift lever.has original motor and seat frames..no spare tire...rims were changed.....guy said this has willys tailgate....rest of drive train was great.small rust spot in floor board..one side.serial number was around 26000......thx for info all...paul

my # are 223xx. its listed as a cj2a. Never saw a cj2. Turner4wd has all the parts for the column

really? even the crap that goes to the tranny to actually shift it?..and that lever on the column itself?...hmm...guys asking $2000......to much? not enough? LOL..and it does run...i could drive it home........thx all..paul
