Rattle can factory paint colors

For all of you that didn't know this, if you have an older Jeep and want to do a little touch up without having to get a spray gun, many paint stores that deal in auto paint can put your factory color in a can for about 5 bucks. I just bought a can yesterday, they sold me a pint of 1985 "Olympic White", put half in the spray can and I got the other half in the regular can to use later with an air gun if I want. VERY convenient. All I needed was to paint the edges of the fenders I just cut.

Re: Rattle can factory paint colors

What a coincidence... I was looking for the color of my Jeep yesterday as they can't mix it up over here in the U.K. Reason being that AMC has never been officially imported in the U.K., so paintshops haven't got the details. I found it on a website called Scratch Paint and mine also seems to be Olympic White. Need some of this stuff badly to repair some rust spots. Could you enquire in this paintshop of yours how they mix this color up i.e. what paint make they use and how much of this and that color to get the Olympic White. Maybe I could then have it mixed over here...

Hooch, I'll try to remember to get the info Mon., if you don't hear from me email me and remind me, I have a tendency to forget virtually everything.
