What kind of grease?

I saw a post the other day regarding types of grease for the front and rear bearings. I can't find it now. What grease do you recommend? The post dealt with one that had a higher brekdown temp. I am installing new bearings and seals front and rear and would like to get the right stuff. Also, I understand poly bushings require something other than typical chassis grease. The small tubs provided are empty, what should I use to supplement this? Thanks - rick

Re: What kind of grease?

Mobil-1 synthetic. It won't wash out due to water and has a high temperature resistance. It's also easy to find and fairly cheap.

Re: What kind of grease?

i,ve had good luck with kendall hi-temp red for wheel bearings, and white lithium grease for the poly. just my own preference though.

Will the synthetic work with the poly's?

Re: What kind of grease?

It shouldn't matter what kind of grease you use with poly bushings, they are impervious to harm from petro base, so it really doesn't matter.

Re: What kind of grease?

I use Loctite Superlube for my polybushes. This is a teflon based grease..
