I've been here 2 1/2 yrs. but this thing goes back to the mid 90s. I know Jeepskate was here a long time, but he rarely goes here now.

I've been on this form for over 6 years... even before the Parts-Mike/ORC split.

If you mean on the old Forum, pre Sept. 1999, then yes, I'm an original member.....back in the days when all Jeep vehicles were on the same forum.

Met a lot of great Jeepers on there...Brad, Larry, Dave just to name a few.

Before I came here, I used to go to JPMagazine's forum. When it got shut down, I kinda just wandered about without signing in anywhere.

Ditto, prior to the split. Still check Parts Mike from time to time, just bought my crossover steering parts from him.

I can just barely remember the old forum, even though I posted some 700-odd posts there.... I remember when Parts Mike split off, kinda pissed me off because I didn't have time to check out more than one forum a day (especially since this one gets so many posts!), and would be missing out on all that great advice he gave....

Jeepgod, Elusive, CJDave, Jeepskate, Team Rush, Redbeard, Dirt Dog, etc.... they were all there before I started posting in... 97 or 98? Right before I got my Wrangler I think....

I've been here about the same amount of time as Leve, I think. I just don't have the time to post as often as I did before the change over. I'm busy teaching ten months out of the year, but the Summers are all mine.

Re: >>>>>>>any origional forum members?<<<<<<<<<

I've been around here for about 3 years and started under the handle "John F" but I screwed up when the new version of this forum fired up and locked myself out of using my original moniker.
I used to hang out at Parts Mike's for a while before that.
Gad, I could have saved myself a wad of time and $$$ had I been up to speed at the forums when I first started my project...

The reason I created my still popular "CJ Gauge & Sender Diagnostics" article was because I kept seeing the same old questions come up over and over again. Terry Howe (the then ORC Tech editor) and LEVE along with several other original forum members here made significant contributions of thier knowledge and experince to that article. My "Hydraulic Clutch Conversion" article is also a popular archive.
Hats off to others who have created pages that take the worry and guessing out of a particlular mod !! It's a great way to 'pay back' some of the knowledge others have provided you on your mods and projects. I urge others here to create their own tech pages for a more permanent archive of the knowledge they've acquired through study and experiences of a particular aspect of Jeepin . The cumulative knowledge of those here could fill volumes!
