Herculiner

Has anyone every tried just coat your whole jeep inside outside top and bottom with this stuff sounding tempting.. wonder if the tree branches and thorns will scratch the finish??

Re: Herculiner

I know a guy who used Red Durabak on the outside and black on the inside. Durabak is a little tougher than Herculiner (thicker) and it will not even tear off when rubbing up against a tree!

It is all about prep work!! You can buy colored Durabak for $130 a gallon. I know a gallon will put two good coats on the inside of a tub and 1.5 gallons will do the outside and bottom with the tub off the frame. 1 gallon will do the frame.

Durabak has little pieces of recycled tires in it. I had some on a safari rack for almost 4 years and the only damage it has is the finish is not as shiny in a few spots where I let bird poop sit on it for a couple of months!
