Wiring of fuel pump instructions...

What will I need ? The pump is installed, it's just the electrical part that puzzles me...

Could somebody tell me how and were to supply power to my electric fuel pump, I'd like to do oil pressure switch thing... The more detailed the instructions, the less I will bug the hell out of you.. good enough deal hey...

Power the pump off the 12 volt feed wire to the oil pressure gauge on the dash.

This gauge always has voltage to it, in the run and start modes. The voltage is not interrupted by ignition key movement, which could momentarly halt the fuel pump.

See Guys, I NEED a schematic of the YJ... anyone want to scan and email me a set? You all know me, I'm to cheap to buy 'em.

Hey Larry,

If you keep asking for different pages every time you reply to a YJ post, you'll have the whole manual soon... Why limit yourself to just the wiring

Re: Wiring of fuel pump instructions...

Well, Leve what I ended up doing is using the acc wire from where my radio used to be.... does the trick, the fraction of a second where there is no current ain't gonna do a big difference on fuel pressure, the thing that would worry me would be damaging the fuel pump from on/off/on in short time... So if you say there are 12V from that gauge, I might switching to that source... One thing that puzzles me, what about amperage, it is a critical component of an electrical circuit ?
