Re: Oil pressure sending unit?????

I'm not sure about the sending unit deal, some units are a open circuit until you lose pressure then it grounds and completes the circuit, I'm sure there are several ideas out there but I'd think a brakelight pressure switch should work fine, they have a pipe thread on them and would close the circuit when you have pressure, you would probably want to use a relay for the pump feed, and use the pressure switch to feed the relay.

Would it be easier to install a mechanical anti-roll over valve in the input to the fuel pump?

Re: Oil pressure sending unit?????

Well I hooked up the pump to the acc where I ripped the old sound system... I grounded the pump on the bracket that holds the pump to the tub... To my big amazement, it worked... What should I do with the old mechanical pump, well, it still works, it's just pumping air from nowhere to nowhere ?? Do I just leave it there with the old pieces of fuel line ?
