Fix for bent leaf springs?

I recently added Con-ferr heavy duty shackles with a 3/8 inch lift on my Cj-7. The stock shackles on the rear were torqued out towards the tires. Since adding the new shackles this has lessend but there is still a bit of bend outwards. Would I have to remove and remount the leaf springs to correct the outward angle? Any insight would be helpful, thanks.

Re: Fix for bent leaf springs?

Did you replace the spring bushings ? If not, that should fix it.

Re: Fix for bent leaf springs?

I purchased front and rear poly bushings and installed the new shackle bushings but held off on the spring bushings. I'll put them on this weekend and see if that takes care of it.

Did you put a different axle in? If so than maybe the spring perches are to far apart! Good Luck.

I have heard that all you have to do is loosen the u-bolts and straighten the leaf springs and retighten the u-bolts. I have never tried this so I can't say how well it works.
