Just moved - any bone yards in New England?

It's been a long and horrible moving trip (should have taken 14 hours with breaks) that lasted 3 days! I'm finally in the New England area working in the New London area of Connecticut. I have my operational rolling project YJ in full use and I need to start part hunting for the eventual frame up rebuild I intend to do. So if anyone knows some good junk (another man's treasure) yards in the New England states I'd appreciate the heads up. I don't mind driving a hundred miles or so either. Makes for a good weekend. Besides my wife likes to hook up the trailer and go "barn" sale shopping for antiques and such.

Howdy and welcome to New England.

I can't tell you of any good bone yards off hand, but I can tell you of a place in Holyoke, MA called Endangered Species Jeep that has a ton of used parts at good prices. So if there is anything that you're looking for, they are worth a call. Their web address is http://www.endangeredspeciesjeep.com.

If you end up in Western Mass. looking for some trails to run, get in touch with me.

Post that on the Zuki BBS, there are a few guys I run with that live in your area and know where all the yards are.

Welcome to NE, where did you come from?

There is a nice yard in Lancaster, MA that has a lot of YJ's, contact mxnhid on the Zuki BBS, he works there.

A-Rite auto parts in New Britian specializes in Jeep only stuff. You can contact them but prices seem on high side.

Welcome to New England indeed.

I work about 50 miles north of you up 395, and live just over the border in MA. I can give you some places in Worcester, MA - one real u-pick-it yard, and some other yards that have some Jeep stuff in them.

Drop me an email if you're interested.

And don't forget to root for the sox now!
