Jeepgod (Pat) Pet your dog for me.

When I made that crack about checking the kennel today, I did not know how forboding the statement was.
I had to bury him today. Gator was family for nearly 14 years. Hell of a duck dog in his prime. We miss him.
I cryed like a baby.

I'm on here so much, I have carpal tunnel reader syndrone.

Sorry to hear about your dog Raduckal... I know exactly what you mean as I lost my Dobermann two years ago at only 7 years old due to cancer. He was my best friend and whenever or wherever you saw me and the Jeep, you saw him. His name was Hooch, hence my bbs name (my previous name used to be Dutchjeeper, but I wanted something to remember him with, so I changed my name on this board).

Dogs are like children to me and me too cried like a baby when I had to have him put down...

Now I've got this great big lump of a Great Dane who doesn't like the car, gets sick in the car or "herculines" it with his dribble... Don't get me wrong though as he's the most friendly dog I've ever owned, but as for character, Hooch was my "baby" and is still, even after two years sadly missed.

Sorry to hear that.
I had a beagle about that long, he was my best bud, a great hunter...I'll never forget the last rabbit we got together, It was running 35 yds. away, Blaze was hot on the trail, I had a 7 1/2" .38 cal cowboy pistol...Boom (1 shot), in one eye and out the other !... best shot of my life, The dog was sure proud of me on that one : ) Too bad he died the next day, but he had a good life.

Re: Jeepgod (Pat) Pet your dog for me.

I know what ya'll mean about the dog-as-part-of-the-family thing. They will steal your hear in a minute, I can only guess what kids are like.

One of the girls that works for us had her 13 year old dog get run over last night. She cried most of the day, when we left her alone, so we tried to talk about other things to her all day long.

But on to better news, here is my baby boy. Mason, named just to confuse all of my family(my name being, Jason). It sure is funny to have someone mad at you and call you the dogs name in a fit of furry.
