Tire Size and Rim Width
Will 14/35x15 Super Swampers work on 15x8.5 rims. I have a chance to get a great deal on the tires. What do you think?
Uh... Is that suppose to look like that? |
Re: Tire Size and Rim Width
they might work but your sidewalls will bulged way out. Lot better chance of catching a rock or something in it then. Although, you won't have to worry about rolling the tire off the bead as much. I would use 15x10's. My buddy has 33x14.5x15 SSR's on his 15x10's and they look good. Just my $.02.

Re: Tire Size and Rim Width
You would probably have one hell of a time getting them on an 8.5" rim...

Re: Tire Size and Rim Width
I'm willing to bet they won't work. I just tried to put 33x12.5's on 15x8 rims. They bulged and worse than that, they rubbed the rear springs just setting on the lift at the dealer. The dealer recommended a 10" rim to start with and after that I've got to find a rim with some offset. If you are getting a good deal on the tires go ahead and buy them and put them in storage until the right rims come along.

Re: Tire Size and Rim Width
Myt 33x12.5's are mounted on an 8" rim and they are pretty beat up from general wheeling. I am going to change them to 7" rims.
