Kinda OT - I\'m in love with a tool!!!

That's right...I'm in love with a tool...

About 3 weeks ago I got a 6HP, 40Gal Craftsman Air compressor...Well that was great and all but I really couldn't use it for more than a tire pump...till last night...last night I stopped by my local Sears and was talking to Jerry, my tool rep. at Sears...and I ended up spending $130 on an Air Impact Wrench...The money hurt all the way home till I hooked it up and tried to back out the bolts on the leaf packs that had been fighting me for about 2 weeks now...

Well...lets just say 500ft/lbs of torque later and them bad boys just backed right out!!!! :-0

Needless to say...I spent the rest of the night sitting around saying to my room-mate..."Dude...this is the coolest thing I've ever spent a $130 bucks on....dude!!!"

After about an hour he told he if I said the word "dude" again he would kill me...So what did I say...Yep...you got it..."Dude...you just don't understand..." "Dude...I'll be in the garage..." I then quickly locked myself in the garage and impacted the hell out of ever bolt I ever had a problem with...

"Dude" I'm so happy, now all I need is a welder...

Tucker

PS I wonder how Im going to break the news to my girl friend???? :-)

I got a better one yet. Snap-on sells a 14.4 battery 1/2 impact that blows the doors off any air impact. The only problem is you better bring you left leg with you. But it beats having a hose hooked to it. Now i heard millwaukee is making a 18v impact so before i buy the snapon one i am going to try the millwaukee one.

Can someone please bring me a hammer my 33's just ate my fender again. Damn i need more lift.

Yeah, air tools rock! But, lemme tell you about my little handy gadget. It's a 1/2 drive 28" long, 3/4 inch thick monster breaker bar with an impact hardened swivel head I picked up a while back and haven't had much use for it till last night. My buddy came over wanting to use my impact gun to pop his ubolt nuts loose but it was too late for such noise so I handed him this little gem, sat back and enjoyed the show. I tell ya it was quite disconcerning to watch that hefty bar bend like a bow but the bolts popped loose with an alarming gunshot-like sound.
